Day 14

Field trip day!!  Today we took all of the kids from Casa Hogar Del Norte to a place called Kidzania.  Kidzania is basically an indoor world for kids where they can be police officers, firemen, delivery people, veterinarians, and tons of other jobs.  They can also make their own Coca-Cola, gansitos (snacks), and candies.  It was awesome!  I had a little girl named Alejandra today, along with 2 year old Gabby at first.  Gabby was a little fussy, so I passed her off to another intern who hadn’t been assigned a kid for the day and she ended up having a blast with him.  Alejandra and I ran circles around Kidzania doing tons of things for 3 straight hours until it was time to leave.

Later that night I found myself up on our roof staring at stars and listening to my iPod, it’s so peaceful here at night.  A few of the other girl interns joined me and we all attempted to blow the clouds away so we could see more stars….it didn’t work.  Oh well. :)

It was great to be able to use my Spanish even more today with Alejandra, she was very forgiving!
