Intern outing #2! All of the girls decided to get a little bit more dressed up today for our intern outing, which proved to be pretty fun! We started off the day on a 2 hour boat ride around the lake. We cleared off the lower deck and a lot of us started salsa dancing (the reason the dresses were fun), or attempting to at least :)
After the boat ride we went to what’s called the 7 mile market. It’s not really called that, but it’s very long, so that’s what the Back2Back staff calls it.
I have learned to LOVE ordering my meals in Spanish, and actually end up getting what I ordered!
The rest of today will be spent hanging out on campus and getting ready for 4 groups to arrive tomorrow. This should be tricky, because the last few weeks we have only had 1 or 2 groups. Pray for us!!
Because some of you have requested it, here is another “random thoughts” section.
*cough* Michel *cough*
-Apple pop is the best! Especially if it’s Manzanita Sol or Joya Manzana.
-Mexican bus drivers are insane. There were SEVERAL near hits today, including a bridge and a huge tree.
-Drama is everywhere. Sad, but true.
-Mexican grocery stores carry Starbucks Frappuccinos…I now love mornings in Mexico.
-Waking up to mountains on either side of you every morning never gets old. Never.
-You can never play enough cards or learn enough new ones.
-Other interns being stuck in a pool bathroom at night is hysterical, truly. Mike would’ve been stuck in there all night if Ben hadn’t come to his rescue….after we were done laughing for a few minutes on the outside of course :)
