Day 16

I cleaned out 15 large garbage cans this morning from all over campus, welcome to Saturday.  After completely covering myself in house water and scrubbing grossness with some Ajax, I went into the kitchen to help disinfect some extra cups for our 80-90 extra guests staying on campus this week.  The groups began arriving soon after lunch and the kids from Manatial and Bethany were here shortly after them.  After a big of schedule reshuffling (the casa hogars were early), it was time to get in the pool!  I pulled tour guide and life guard duties today.  The only bad thing about being a life guard is that you are not allowed to get in the pool at all, so I was begging small children to jump in right next to me as I sat in the HOT sun.

Later that night, after the kids left, I met some cool people from North Carolina.  While sitting and talking with them I quickly realized that I had put my foot in a HUGE pile of ants….the kind that bite.  After a frenzied run to the garden hose I was free of the little demons, but walked away with bites all over my right foot, including between my toes!   After much Benadryl usage and an antihistamine, I was out for the night!  It was great!  The first time that I have slept all the way thru the night without waking up, it just took ants to make it happen.
