It was my day off today for this week. It was kinda lonely, but I got a decent amount of stuff done. We had a nannies and interns retreat tonight at the Guckenberger’s house. We were able to ask each other tons of questions and enjoy a little DQ ice cream cake. :)
Beth explained to us the origins of communion and what it means when we take the bread and juice. It was a detailed story about how a groom used to ask his bride to marry him. But basically what she was saying is that when we drink from the cup and eat the bread, we are saying “I do” to Jesus. It was so much fun getting to know everyone a little bit more and be able to answer some obscure questions just for fun.
